LEED Certification PR Media

Share your passion for sustainability through video

Embarking on a LEED-certified building project requires a large investment of time, money, and passion. However, we now know the return on investment for LEED-certified buildings is extremely high and comes in many, many forms. A significant and often under-utilized benefit of sound environmental design is a vastly improved public image. In just a few short years there has been dramatic growth in the percentage of firms that build green to gain a branding / public relations advantage. The reason? It works. People WANT to know that your business is committed to excellence in environmental practices and nothing demonstrates this commitment like LEED certification. Of course, the doing is one thing – the telling is another.

A LEED-certified building project presented professionally through video, can be used as a powerful marketing tool for public awareness and recruitment in any business. At Bright Blue we are invested in telling these stories of transformation and have an intimate knowledge of how to do so effectively. We’re ready when you are!

University of Vermont Rubenstein School of Environment & Natural Resources

The George D. Aiken Center at the University of Vermont is the LEED Platinum home of the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources. The Greening of Aiken entailed a community-led renovation of an academic building into a nation-leading example of energy and ecological design; what the Chronicle of Higher Education called "one of the greenest buildings on any college campus". This is a video that encompasses the overall scope of the LEED project for the university while also explaining benefits and primary reasons for the transformation.
